Ray & Melissa… Oh where do I even begin. This power couple has been taking over the Denver scene one naked woman at a time… Wait, what?
That’s right. Ray and Melissa are the proud owners of Under The Garter, the only stop you should be making for high-end boudoir photography.
This shoot marks the day I first met Ray and Melissa and their two boys. It goes to show that a first impression is everything. We all hit it off right off the bat. Since this day, Under the Garter and I have collaborated hair, make-up and photography forces. I am proud to say that I am the primary hairstylist offering on-site styling for Under the Garter boudoir clients right before their photoshoot session. Boudoir is mainly attractive to “brides-to-be” but is not limited to that. Anyone can do a boudoir session! It does not matter the reason, occasion, body type, relationship status, etc. My boyfriend and I decided to do one… just for fun. You can check that out here. Every boudoir session is both personalized to each client’s needs and requests and also securely confidential. If you are interested in boudoir or have ever considered doing something out of the box, being completely pampered from head to toe, looking your absolute best in your skivvies… call UTG.
The sessions take place in a cozy little home that Ray and Melissa have converted into an full wedding vendor boutique equipped with the most important vendors needed on your wedding day. This one stop shop is called Bliss Bridal Boutique and I would highly recommend checking it out if you are in the process of planning a wedding!
Anyways, Let’s get back to this gorgeous Colorado ranch photoshoot. Ray and Melissa are used to being behind the camera but for this instance, they volunteered to change their roles and play the part as models. They have been married for years and have two, very charismatic boys. When their wedding took place, it was small, intimate and did not produce as many or as many ideal photos as two would wish for. In this case, they were the perfect subjects for this dreamy Valentine’s day themed photoshoot in Elizabeth, CO.
Melissa slipped into a stunning gown from Emma and Grace Bridal Boutique. It could not have fit her (including her personality) more perfectly. Her hair and make up tied the entire graceful style together. I will never forget when her son, Ryder, saw her for the first time. He stuttered a little and then softly muttered the words, “Mom, you are so pretty.”
Our vision for the shoot was classic, timeless, and elegance. When glancing at every little detail, you can’t help but think the word “vintage.” This dreamy styled shoot was actually featured on the well known wedding inspiration panel, Burnett’s Boards!
